August 2022 First Friday Recap

Hi all! We had an Anglophile themed meeting this past First Friday held on August 5, 2022. Someone had just returned or was heading to England, which was so coincidental…and perfect because I (Lana) love England and Sophie is actually from Queen’s land herself!

Anyway, we had a fun time. Below are some of the items we chatted about.

Make Bristol - A makers place that was discovered over in England. Looks cool!

Stoneyfield, Cottswald - apparently beautiful places to visit in England.

Wild Hand - A fiber arts store in Mount Airy that hosts workshops too!

The Artful Parent - The name of the website explains a little bit about the website, but looks like there’s loads of great information and inspiration for parents who want to be creative with their kiddos.

Everything Everywhere All at Once (Movie)- IMDB page - We had a good laugh because at some point in the conversation we mentioned Googly eyes. Someone mentioned this movie bc of googley eyes and someone realized then that it wasn’t kid friendly at all. :)

Werner’s Nomenclature of colors (Amazon link to book) - this is a book someone brought to the chat, and then when I was writing this journal entry, I found this cool website that has a cool layout for it.
